ASI Cloud Files

How ASI really uses this: the ~7 TB share mounts as a network drive (e.g. Z:\) on each Entra-joined Windows 11 PC, so CorelDRAW opens files in place over SMB — no downloading a copy every time. Sign-in is cloud-only Microsoft Entra ID (Entra Kerberos) — no Active Directory, no domain controllers. Permissions come from Azure RBAC + NTFS ACLs and inherit into folders; large, cold files are tiered to Azure by Azure File Sync and recalled on open. The two panels below are a live admin layer on the real asi-demo share — they list, edit text, lock (real Azure leases), upload, move and delete actual files over HTTPS. Day-to-day, staff still edit in place over SMB.

Demo note: the two panels above read and write the real asi-demo file share over HTTPS (REST). The access badges are an admin visualisation of the production Azure RBAC + NTFS design, and locking uses real Azure file leases. In production, staff edit in place over an SMB drive with cloud-only Entra Kerberos sign-in and Azure File Sync tiering — no per-open downloads. The capacity chart shows live usage of the real asi-demo share (small sample files today); in production this share holds ~7 TB of CorelDRAW, image and Office files.
